We’re Updating Our Computer System
We’re making a change that will help us care for you better.
It involves our clinical system, the software we use to manage patients’ health records, including appointments, prescriptions, and vaccinations.
We are changing our clinical system EMIS Web to TPP SystmOne.
This means we will use the same system as other local GP surgeries and NHS services. It will help us share information faster and work better with other teams. This is especially helpful for people who need more support.
What You Need to Know
- Online services will stop from Friday 13th June.
- This includes the NHS App.
- We expect things to be back to normal by Tuesday 24th June.
- Please only contact us if it’s urgent during this time.
- You can book routine appointments or request test results after 24th June.
Other Ways to Get Help
If you need help with non-urgent issues, you can:
✅ Visit your local pharmacy – under the Pharmacy First scheme, they can treat common conditions like sore throats, earache, or urine infections. Pharmacists are trained experts – no appointment needed.
✅ Go to 111.nhs.uk to check symptoms and get advice
Using the NHS App After the Change
If you signed up for the NHS App with photo ID, you should be able to use it again soon after 24th June.
If your details don’t update, you can:
- Delete your NHS login
- Set up a new NHS login using the same email and your ID
A Small Disruption, A Big Benefit
We know this may cause some short-term issues. We’re sorry for any delays.
But this change will help in the long run. It will:
- Make your care safer and quicker
- Cut down on repeat questions and tests
- Help us work as one team with local services
Because many people are affected, it may take time to turn everyone’s online account back on. We will do this as fast as we can.
